My name is April Lloyd, I'm a 20 year old singer/songwriter from Harare Zimbabwe.I would typically describe my music as story telling,every song I write is like reading a story book with a beat. I love making music for the the world to hear and enjoy.I started singing from the age of 6, at family functions and memorial services and I did enter a few competitions later on in life,Starbrite being one of them.As a kid my mom made me listen to Mariah Carey , Whitney Huston and all the great singers,we would actually do karaoke to their songs, those became my biggest influencers.I did do mowtown at reps theatre,which was an amazing experience for me.Now I am currently recording at Hit Music Empire.I enjoy working with them,we're always laughing in the studio.Im planning to produce more music and hopefully get the whole of Africa to enjoy it with me.
