Takunda Kurinyepa, a singer/songwriter who was born and bred in Chitungwiza, he is a diverse artist who refuses to identify with just one genre. He believes that art is versatile and should therefore be expressed as such. Having been passionate about music from a young age, Takunda's first ever recording was in 2021, an afropop track called "Temptations", followed by a deep house jam titled "Ndasarudza Iwe" which landed airplay on Trace Africa. He also  released a afrobeat song called "Vaima" which is a soulful prayer for better days. Vaima also landed airplay on Trace Gospel. Takunda released an R&B track on the 20th of September called Addicted (interlude), the song is about love addiction. Takunda's latest release is an afropop rnb fusion song called Pano, the song talks about assurance and love. As a diverse artist, Takunda draws his inspiration from different sources ranging from personal experiences to the livelihood around him and this comes naturally to him because in his exact words, "music is his safe haven", a place he often resorts to. His greatest aspiration is for his music to become internationally recognised so that his message is widely received. When that happens, he plans to give back by uplifting other talented artists.Takunda also looks forward to owning a record label one day.
